Morning all!

It seems we have had some problems with our contact page, the emails haven’t been arriving, so if you have used it and haven’t had a response, we sincerely apologise. It is all back up and working now and we have also added an email link for extra measure.

So if you did try to contact us through the website over the last few weeks, please re-send as we’re not sure how long it hasn’t been right for.

Photographing a Birthday at Oatlands Park Hotel

April passed in a whirl of birthdays and weddings, and May looks pretty much the same! How lucky are we to get to photograph such monumental occasions of joy and celebration.

May kicked off with Derek celebrating his 80th birthday. He and his lovely wife Rosalita, had a reunion of family & friends for lunch at Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge where we work a lot as their preferred photographer.

They wanted very natural photo’s with only a couple of groups shots as it was a very relaxed affair. Although everyone got in to the spirit after lunch with party hats!

There were some lovely speeches and gift presentations and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Happy Birthday Derek!

Oh to be 18 again…!

Continuing with birthday season, it was this time the turn of Adam, who had the mammoth task of celebrating his 18th year!

Organised and catered by Azure Events, the fantastic team that did our wedding, the marquee as always looked fab, completed with a glowing blue bar and gorgeous canapes and cocktails freely flowing. We popped up a photobooth with some hairy, shiny, silly & funny props and need I say more.. We had an absolute blast!

It’s always nice to catch up with people we have photographed before, so it was great to see Alan & Sue again at Linda & Chris’ wedding. We photographed their wedding last year and as Sue is the grooms mum and Alan had driving duties, they were very much a part of this wedding. A beautiful day, do you remember a time before the rains came?, with a lovely service at St. Nicholas church, Shepperton and then on to Harringtons Hotel. With family and friends attending from as far as New Zealand this really was one of those once in a lifetime occasions.

Over at Sandown Park for the Triathlon, Running & Cycling Show to help continue the development of their exhibition portfolio. Left feeling very unfit…

….but there was a different vibe to this show, definitely time to chill out and enjoy the sun.

Life at hayleybray is a varied one. Another string to our bow is corporate conference photography and it was a pleasure to capture the recent European Convention on Corporate Criminal Liability at Pennyhill Park. And, we have been asked to photograph a conference in May at Chewton Glen, Hampshire, for the same company. Looking forward to that, looks like another beautiful venue. A gorgeous couple and a gorgeous venue and you have a great wedding.

Anna looked beautiful, Dean was very cool and their two gorgeous girls were a delight. Photographing weddings has got to be the best job in the world!

March & April for us are the months for birthdays in our house. In March we have 7 family ones as well as friends birthdays, and April, well, all 3 of ours (!) both grandparents, an Uncles, and countless friends celebrate getting another year older.

But it isn’t just us doing the celebrating, back in March, we were asked to come and photograph Jeff’s 60th birthday party, unbeknown to him!!!

His wife & children organised a huge surprise celebration at Surrey Downs Golf Club, complete with lots of guests, magician, lots of food & drink, singing waiters and finally topped off with a fantastic live band!! Our great friend John Harris was also filming the event and we had plenty to capture and lots of fun.

Jeff was truly surprised as I think you can tell in the images… Happy Birthday!

Kirsty & Bill chose a great location for our “getting to know you” shoot back in March, and it provided a great backdrop for the pictures. Really looking forward to their August wedding. They were a joy to photograph, very comfortable in front of the camera and it was worth getting wet feet for.
