A wonderful day at The Red Barn in Tandridge…

And yes it was. It was our first time visiting this gorgeous venue, and although we weren’t sitting around in the gorgeous gardens sipping beer, we were doing the next best thing. Photographing Gemma & David’s wedding!

We met Gemma and David last year and they were guests at a previous wedding we shot and knew past couples we photographed, so it was lovely that it was now their turn.

The day started with me at Gemma’s family home in Banstead for some pre ceremony getting ready-ness…..

In the meantime, Will caught up with David and the boys at St Ann’s in Banstead

We’ve been here quite a few times and its such a lovely church to work in.. light bright and really friendly…

Oh and time for a quick huggle with one of the flowergirls in the back of the car before heading off to The Red Barn…

I love the interior of the barn and Gemma & David had dec’d it out beautifully…

The speeches were full of laughing, crying and cringeing! In equal measures.. Perfect.

Beautiful!

Love this!

Who knew….A life size plastic cow is all you need to keep children entertained….

And WHAT a sunset to finish on guys…. Huge Congratulations and thanks for letting us be part of your day. x

A 40′s Fashion Show at Home House

May has been busy, and so again, as always, the blog takes the hit!! I’m sorry, we go a bit quiet as we’re just concentrating on shooting jobs and editing photos, which you know takes AN ABSOLUTE AGE..but we’re keeping our lovely clients happy!

So, I’m aiming to keep uploading some bits we have been shooting over the next few weeks… We had 8 weddings in May, numerous PR jobs, some gorgeous babies a fashion show and allsorts else, so I’ll try and pop a few up each week…

I had to blog this 40′s War themed fashion show as it was such a delight to photograph. Jo Irvine Designs had a private viewing of her 40′s styled bespoke dresses, and transported back to the 40′s, Home House was turned into a disused building. People took to their seats in the dark on covered over furniture, and (fake) ‘dust’ filled the air…

Guests were treated to champagne from vintage tea cups when the search lights and sirens started! Followed loudly by ‘Candy Man’ as the gorgeous models made their entrance!!

LK Bennett supplied all the beautiful shoes…

Complete with live demonstrations of 40′s hair and make up and co hosted and styled by the talented and uber lovely Karen Smyth. If you ever need help in what to wear, what colours suit you, personal shopping for a special event or just good old advice on how to dress for your shape, Karen in the woman for you.

Jo also specialises in bridal wear, bridesmaids and mother of the bride outfits.

Cooking with the great Michel Roux OBE

Cooking royalty, in the shape of Michelin star chef Michel Roux OBE, was guest of honour at Raycross Interiors of Byfleet charity fund raising evening on Tuesday. As well as two demonstrations; Souffle Chocolat Noir and Warm curry flavoured Oysters-Gratinees, he mingled and chatted with the guests at the event aimed at raising money and awareness of the Nicholls Foundation-funding research for the cure of spinal paralysis.

A lovely man, an amazing cook and a substantial amount raised for the foundation.

A Special Sunny Wedding in Marlow and Oxford…

On Saturday, we had our first full blown ‘Spring’ Wedding with oodles of the yellow stuff… Sunshine! To say it was glorious would be an understatement, and topped off by a couple who were just as radiant. And gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

I have known the groom since he was a boy as our fathers are great friends. So it was really special to be asked to capture such an important day.

We were at All Saints in Marlow and off to a private Golf Club in Oxford for the reception. The views and skyline were amazing. We headed off in a Golf Buggy for a few shots during the reception drinks, and later after dinner, made the best use of the “Golden Hour’. And talking of gold.. they had my favourites… hundreds of them at the sweety table! YUM! Scroll down for the photo…

We had an absolute blast guys and couldn’t have had a nicer couple to work with…. Or sunset… x

A wedding in Kingston and where it all began….

Last week were over at Kingston Register Office for the wedding of Gary & Jeanette. It’s a beautiful building and it’s also where we registered George when he was born so it always makes me smile when I go there. The wedding reception was held at Coombe Hill Golf Club, where, as an 18 year old (so only a couple of years ago, obviously!!) I shot my VERY FIRST wedding…  And as they do very few weddings and only for members, this was my first time back there… Ahem, 18 years later….

I know, I don’t look old enough; thank you….

How cute is this little man! He was the star of the show… Photographers dream… permanent smile!

As a shoe lover, I had to get a shot of these babies!!

They had a couple of nods to the Big Apple and New York within their day, hence the place card holders! My dad would love this! (he’s a Fruiterer!)

There were also a Scottish contingent and had a Bagpiper to ‘play’ the newleyweds into the wedding breakfast..

Fedora’s and Boa’s were the handed to all the guests for a bit of fun ‘New York’ style! Made for some great photos!

I love this, a first dance as a little family…

And you know me, I had to finish on a more creative note… Huge congratulations guys, I hope you enjoy this little preview!
