It’s a new year folks and Hayley Bray Photography has hit the ground running with a busy few days shooting and organising for the year ahead. It was a pleasure to be asked by our friends at Savill Court Hotel & Spa to photograph some of their many facilities for thier new brochure. We all need a bit of good cheer at this time of year so it was great to be at Sandown Park for their comedy evening on Saturday. After a day of racing a packed theatre was treated to three very entertaining stand ups, Sean Meo, Paul Tonkinson and  Steve Hughes. Brilliant.

As we near the end of another busy year, note the lack of blogging! we can all notice a change in the light. There is less of it and what light there is can often be dull and flat under grey skies and with the sun lower in the sky, photography can be tricky. Where am I going with this? Well, what I am getting at is that whatever the weather, season, time of day, inside or out, the key to a great picture is using the best light you can get and that can sometimes mean making it yourself. Oh and then there is the small detail of getting the best from your subject and capturing the decisive moment.

So if you have a wedding, party or event coming up, leave it to us. It’s what we do best.
